Avalon Exchange — LemonHearted

Lovers of the bargain hunt can rejoice because Orlando is getting a new resale clothing boutique!

I've been a fan of Avalon Exchange since my first trip while I was in St. Louis with some of my gal pals back in 2010. (see terrible photo below for proof)

But now Orlando is getting it's very own location and I'm pretty stoked about it. If you aren't familiar with this company they are a family owned and operated business with locations in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis. What started as a vintage store expanded into offering a carefully curated inventory to the community where they were located. Like any resale shop, you the ever fashionable Orlandoan, will be adding to that inventory with your own styles that you can sell or trade.

I got a sneak peak into the madness that is every retail shop on the verge of opening when the gracious and adorable Co-Owner and Manager Chelsea let me interrupt her seemingly never ending work flow to take a few pictures and get the details on my new second home.

Chelsea, who recently moved from Cleveland, has uprooted herself and is now enjoying sunny Orlando and loving it.

She will be doing all of the buying for now, and wants locals to know this is a safe-fashion space. "If we are unable to use your clothes, we still really like you" she stated.

So you don't have to worry about walking in like this

and being met with this.

While items need to be sell-able, she will be experimenting with many different styles to see what the people in Orlando want and what she should be looking for when customers come in with their items to sell or trade.

They are committed to having something for everyone and offering you a fun shopping experience for you and your friends. Chelsea and her crew will make sure to steer you in the most fashionable direction.

If you happen to be an Air Jordan fanatic, this will definitely be a place for you to check out, as they already are housing a nice collection waiting to be gently worn and then placed gingerly back in your closet.

The store is a great light & airy open space conducive to combing through the racks, with some really fun accents of my favorite color, with more visual treats getting put up before the opening. Also, they are dog friendly if your dog is friendly.

The opening is tantalizing close, but currently Chelsea is waiting on the green light from the city. So make sure to follow this Orlando location on Instagram @avalonexchangeflorida so you know exactly when the opening will be.
